Is it possible to use my old receiver even if the amp part is blown?

i have a old technics receiver and it turns on and lights up and everything but it it makes no sound or anything. i have a receiver now thats 1000 watts but i like the older one more because it has a nice equalizer and nice front panel lights so how could i use the old receiver with the new receivers power?
