What to do with hair after pool.?

Well im going to a pool party. I have dried out thick frizzy puffy hair and i usually wear my hair up after shower. but chlorine is different. I have tried to put my hair up after the pool but chlorine makes my hair and hands stick so i cant really get my hair into a ponytail. I have tried scrunching it but it just becomes a thick mess and braids wont help either. Please help! Oh and p.s. I have wavy thick hair And im not kidding its the ugliest in the World
