How can I fix my hair?

I've damaged it horribly. My bangs are so damaged, they just break off. They are short now (right above my eyebrows). I am getting a deep cond treatment today at a salon, and switched my shampoo to nexxus split end promend...I'm not real worried about all my hair, just my bangs bc even if I scrunch my hair, they are straightened everyday, due to the fact that they have no curl in them and are nothing but frizz. Is there any miracle products I can use to strip my hair of heat damage or color damage? I've quit coloring it, I just want to try getting rid of all the damage its done to the bangs. I recently chopped about 6in off so its now up to my jawline, which has made the rest of my hair look tons better. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also is there anyway I can get my bangs to grow faster so they don't look so stupid...
